Lantern Bladder Cherry Fruit Seeds

I was surprised at how low-maintenance these plants turned out to be. With regular watering and sun, they practically took care of themselves. The lanterns add an exotic touch to my otherwise simple garden.

I grow flowers mainly for craft projects, and these were perfect. Once dried, the lanterns held their shape and color beautifully. They�ve already been used in a couple of wreaths, and I plan on growing more next season.

I started a few seeds inside under grow lights and others outside in the soil. Both methods worked well, though the outdoor ones grew faster. The lantern pods are so unusual, they�ve become a centerpiece for conversation.

These plants added a whimsical feel to my small patio garden. The lanterns dangle like ornaments and bring a playful pop of color. I wasn�t expecting them to be so sturdy either, which was a nice surprise.

Out of the packet of seeds, nearly all sprouted, which impressed me. They grew steadily with minimal effort. The lanterns themselves are even more striking in person than in the photos online.
