I grew a few of these in 5-gallon buckets and they thrived. Stayed upright, didn’t need staking, and bloomed beautifully. I’d recommend them to anyone working with a small patio or balcony garden.
The blooms were just what I was hoping for—big, striped centers with bold yellow petals. I even saved some of the seeds to roast and share. Great option if you want beauty and function.
I’ve grown tall sunflowers before, but they can get out of control. These dwarf grey stripes were the perfect compromise—classic sunflower look, but compact and easier to manage. Great for borders.
These came up fast and grew thick, sturdy stems. Even though they’re considered “dwarf,” the flowers are still large and bright. They’ve brought bees, birds, and so much joy to my front yard.
I love that these sunflowers don’t tower over the rest of the garden. They add the same bold color and pollinator activity, but stay neat and tidy. Very happy with how they filled in the flower bed.
