Striking Color for Fall Displays

These lantern plants add the perfect burst of orange to my garden in late summer. I cut a bunch to decorate for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Very easy to grow and striking to look at.

Beautiful but Spreads Fast

I love how these look—truly one of a kind—but they do spread by underground runners. Worth it if you have space or a wild corner. The lanterns are delicate and beautiful.

Unique and Low Maintenance

The plants came up quickly and took care of themselves after getting established. They spread a bit, so I’d recommend containing them if space is tight. Very eye-catching in bloom.

Great for Dried Flower Crafts

I grew these mostly for dried arrangements and they did not disappoint. The husks dry nicely and stay vibrant. Plants are hardy and didn’t need much beyond regular watering.

Fast Growers With Striking Color

I started these from seed indoors and transplanted them out after the frost. They filled out quickly and looked amazing by late summer. The lanterns really do glow in the garden.
