All but one seed sprouted and the plants produced heavily. I trellised them and got a good harvest over a month and a half. No pest issues either. Very satisfied.
Every time I served these cucumbers, people asked about them. The color is wild but the taste is super clean and classic. They held up well in the fridge too.
These maroon cucumbers are just as crunchy as the green varieties, if not more. They didn’t have that bitterness some cukes get in hot weather. Definitely going in next year’s lineup.
Planted six seeds, all of them sprouted. The vines are vigorous and produced consistently over several weeks. The deep maroon color adds a fun twist to summer salads.
These cucumbers turned heads at my local garden club. They’re not just pretty—crisp texture and refreshing flavor too. I found they did best with regular watering and some afternoon shade.
