I expected okra this size to be tough or stringy, but it was tender and smooth. Less slimy than other varieties when cooked, which made it great for roasting and sautéing.
I use a lot of okra in Filipino dishes, and this variety is ideal. The pods stay tender even when they get big, and they soak up flavor beautifully. A must-grow for okra fans.
Every seed sprouted within a week. The plants grew vigorously, and the pods reached a great size without becoming woody. Loved how tall and striking they looked in the garden.
Wanted to try something different and this Philippine okra did not disappoint. Long pods with a mild flavor and gorgeous green color. They grow super fast once they start.
I’m in the deep South and this okra didn’t just survive—it thrived. Tall plants with loads of pods. Great for frying or gumbo. The seeds sprouted quickly and grew fast.
