I added these to a mixed perennial border, and they’ve really helped balance out the look. The upright flower spikes are a nice contrast to more rounded blooms, and the color blends well with nearly anything.
These speedwell plants stay compact, making them great for edging pathways. I love how they bloom in waves throughout the summer. A few seeds went a long way, and germination was solid.
I was really pleased with how well these turned out. The spires of flowers add vertical interest to my beds, and the colors are soft but noticeable. Very cottage garden friendly.
Speedwell might look delicate, but it’s surprisingly tough. These grew well in clay-heavy soil and full sun. The flowers are small but numerous, and they make a lovely contrast against darker foliage.
I planted these in my pollinator garden and they’ve become a favorite with bees and butterflies. The flowers keep coming if you deadhead, and the plants stay neat and upright. They handled heat and dry spells too.
